description

The Picasso ceramic numbered A.R. 411, titled "Scène de tauromachie" ("Bullfighting Scene"), is a terre de faïence dish created in 1959 at the Madoura pottery studio in Vallauris, France. This piece reflects Picasso's enduring fascination with bullfighting, a theme deeply rooted in his Spanish heritage and frequently explored throughout his artistic career.

Measuring approximately 16⅝ inches (42.3 cm) in diameter, the dish features a dynamic depiction of a bullfighting scene, executed with bold lines and expressive forms. The composition captures the intense energy and movement characteristic of the bullring, showcasing Picasso's ability to convey drama and emotion through his distinctive artistic style.

This ceramic was produced in a limited edition of 100, with each piece numbered and stamped on the underside with 'Empreinte Originale de Picasso' and 'Madoura Plein Feu', authenticating its origin and ensuring its place within Picasso's celebrated ceramic works.

This object is nr. 71 of the edition of 100.

The Tauromachie scene has a small chip missing on the backside. This is the only piece in the edition featuring a pink color instead of the usual russet, making it a unica.

A must-have product

"But in certain circumstances and owing to the claims of duty or the obligations of business it will frequently occur that pleasures have to be repudiated and annoyances accepted. The wise man therefore always."

Amazing...loved it

image

"It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humor, or non-characteristic words , etc."

Lori Stevens

Highly recommended!

image

"The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form."

Bryan Knight

Wonderful Product

image

"Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more."
